Bio

Hello! I’m a classically trained opera singer but that’s not all I do! I have been teaching voice and beginning piano full time since 2020. I have two performance degrees and want everyone to have a good time. I believe that music is for all. Some people just want to have fun and be challenged, or feel more comfortable in a one on one setting. I work to make sure that my students are comfortable and progressing as musicians at a pace that they are comfortable with. I think that it’s never too late to learn and I continue to look for ways to further my learning as well. Most recently, I took an 8 week course for Gender Affirming Voice Lessons. Before moving to Milwaukee, I worked in Chicago. I am an active performer and I continue to drive back and forth to Chicago for gigs, and have been asked to cover the roll of Jezibaba in Milwaukee Opera Theatre’s “Rusalka” in Feb 2025.

Bio

Pamela Faraci earned her degree in Voice and Vocal Pedagogy, with a secondary focus on piano, from North Park University in Chicago, Illinois. Once she earned her degree, she performed all over the city as a soloist and chorus member in such places as the Chicago Symphony stage and Light Opera Works of Evanston, Chicago Cabaret, as well as an accompanist for many other Chicago performance venues and churches. She was also a judge and mentor for students in the Illinois Solo and Ensemble Competition, the National Association of Teachers of Singing Contests and the Bel Canto Competition, one of Chicago’s largest vocal competitions. When Pamela wasn’t performing, she was teaching both Piano and Voice in her private studio. In both instruments, Pamela offers a classical approach focusing on the fundamentals of technique, expression, phrasing and theory. She also uses her performance experience to help each student learn and prepare for their own performance. To do that, Pamela focuses on getting to know each student enough to meet them where they are on their own educational journey, allowing them to be who they are in the process. She loves working with every age from beginner to advanced and her belief is that success comes in watching each student grow in confidence. Pamela most recently earned a Certificate in Music Wellness and Therapy from Berklee College of Music. She enjoys working with her students to use music as both an emotional and physical outlet through which healing, comfort and confidence can happen.

Bio

I have been teaching voice for twenty-five years. My former students can be found on opera stages across the country, on and off Broadway, in national and international tours, on TV, and in movies. They can also be found in courtrooms, hospital and surgical rooms, as university professors, public school teachers, doulas, and stay-at-home moms. I have consistently prepared students for auditions, competitions, and contests with great success. I have founded two summer programs for singers and collaborative pianists, one in Austria (which is now closed) and one here in Wisconsin, attracting and thus teaching students from all over the world. I have directed shows, judged competitions, and conducted community choirs. I began my musical studies at 10 with Violin and Viola and continued playing in orchestras all throughout college. So, though my career has been “voice heavy”, my initial steps began as an orchestra player and over the years I have taught a great many of these students as well. I have just returned to WI, where I grew up, after living in Miami, Germany, and Austria for nearly 30 years.

Music Education:

I have a Bachelor of Music and Master of Music from the University of Miami (Coral Gables, FL) both in Vocal Performance.

Teaching Experience:

I have 25 years of experience teaching voice to beginner through emerging, young professional with a great many violin and viola students interspersed there as well.

Styles Taught:

Classical, Musical Theater, etc

Methods Taught:

I will meet each student where they are and decide on the best road forward. This is a very personal approach and will vary with each person.
