Music Lesson Information

Convenient. Affordable. Our lesson programs are designed to give students an excellent, customized learning experience while providing an exceptional value. Simple tuition-based pricing and regular consistency help individuals and families make Music for Life.

Before enrolling in private lessons, participating in our Get Uke’d classes, or joining New Horizons Band, we ask that you review the pricing and policies. Should you have any questions, feel free to contact us for more information:

Private Lesson Prices & Policies

Pricing

Music lesson tuition is $100 per month. This fee guarantees four, 30 minute lessons each month. Lessons meet once each week, always at the same scheduled time.

Registration Fee

New students are charged a $20 registration fee. This fee is due at the student’s first lesson and is nonrefundable. After a student registers, any additional family members who register for lessons will enjoy a discounted registration fee of $10.

Payments

Tuition is automatically processed on the 1st of every month. This payment guarantees 4 lesson appointments within that month. If tuition is not paid by the third week of the month, White House of Music and it’s teachers reserve the right to withhold lessons until tuition is paid.

Virtual Lessons

White House of Music provides opportunities for virtual online lessons on a limited case-by-case basis. Please complete the following Private Lessons Request form, and our team will reach out to you with teacher availability and lesson scheduling opportunities.

Credited Lessons

White House of Music will credit your account for lessons we cannot provide. If your teacher cancels your lesson or if the store is closed for a holiday or due to inclement weather, you will not be charged for that lesson. Credits for teacher cancellations will be applied to your next months tuition. Holiday credits will be applied to the month the holiday falls on.  

Cancelled & Missed Lessons

Cancelled or missed lessons will not be rescheduled. Under no circumstances will our teachers reschedule or provide “make up” lessons for any missed lessons. Inability to attend a lesson on a student’s part does not excuse tuition payment.

Bonus Lessons

White House of Music will bonus a free lesson in any month where 5 lesson days exist, provided the fifth lesson day is not a holiday.

Discontinuing Lessons

To discontinue lessons: Notice must be received in person by a White House of Music staff member or via email at lessons@whitehouseofmusic.com two lessons prior to your last lesson.  Do not give notice to your instructor. Notifying your instructor does not constitute proper notice. Tuition payment is required for all lesson appointments that fall within your notice of discontinuation. Failure to provide proper notice to a staff member or via email does not excuse tuition payment for any lesson appointments that are held for you.

New Horizons Band Prices & Policies

Pricing

The band is self-supporting through a fee levied each trimester.  The current fee is $75.00 or about $5.00 per week.  With this fee we provide a meeting place, conductors, music, bookkeeping services, and advertising. Fees are based on trimesters only, no adjustments.

Trimesters & Payments

New Horizons Band Trimesters run as follows:

  • Trimester 1: September 6 – December 20, 2017 (payment due September 13, 2017)
  • Trimester 2: January 3 – April 18, 2018 (payment due January 10, 2018)
  • Trimester 3: April 25 – August 8, 2018 (payment due May 2, 2018)

Band Structure

The New Horizons Band of Southeast Wisconsin is part of the international New Horizons band organization. It is self funded and governed by an elected Board of Directors who constantly work to expand the band so any one who wants to perform music will have an opportunity. Payment and registration is handled directly through the organization.

Registration Information

To join the band, contact us by calling our sponsor, White House of Music, at 262-798-9700. A staff member will transfer your call to the New Horizons Band voicemail. Please leave your name, message, and phone number. Your call will be returned by a member of the band.
