Bio
I started my musical journey when I was 5 with piano lessons, but my true love for music began when I entered band in 5th grade and learned to play saxophone. I am a multiple woodwind player, though you will see me playing saxophone and bassoon most often in ensembles. I am currently involved in the Waukesha Area Symphonic Band, Oconomowoc Legion Band, Main Street Big Band, and the Rock River Wind Quintet. In addition to my music-specific education, I also hold a MSEd in Professional Development where I focused on the learning community. This stems from a passion to find the best way to help each learner succeed and provide an environment where my students can flourish. When I am not making or teaching music, I like to spend time with my 4 kiddos and spouse. Our family enjoys camping, finding new restaurants, attending musicals, watching movies, Pokemon Go, and we take Mario Kart very seriously.
