White House of Music is committed to promoting the development of piano players by providing services and programs specifically designed to create an environment where students can acquire excellent piano skills, learn to love music and develop a desire to play and enjoy "Music For Life".
White House of Music attempts to approach every sale or rental of an electronic or digital piano with the thought that beginning students must acquire an instrument which will properly allow them to study piano. The instrument that they get must have full size piano keys. The keys must be at exactly the same height as an acoustic piano. A regulation 19" high piano bench must accompany each instrument. The keys must be touch sensitive and eventually all students should be playing on a mechanical weighted key system. Finally, a sustain pedal must be available to the student when they are ready.
There are only a select number of products that meet the above criteria. We recommend to all prospective piano students that they not consider a typical 61 note portable keyboard for lessons. These instruments are not conducive to proper learning of piano skills because of range and key size. We instead suggest that the customer consider one of the following options.
1st option: Rental of a personal piano package for $35.00 a month. Unlimited rental term. This unit has 76 full sized piano keys that are touch sensitive. It comes on a stand at regulation height along with a piano bench and sustain pedal. Our experience has shown that a 76 note piano will suffice for 12-24 months of beginning piano lessons. This piano is usually never purchased but works very well as an introductory instrument for piano lessons. 100% of the first year's rental plus 50% of everything after up to 24 months may be applied to the sale price of any higher level digital piano!
2nd option: Rent to own or purchase a digital home piano. These pianos rent from $43.00 to $57.00 per month as an average and sale prices start around $1,395.00. The customer may return or cancel anytime during the first 12 months. The latest home digital pianos feature authentic full sized touch sensitive mechanical weighted grand piano actions, attractive simulated wood cabinets, matching 19" benches, headphone jacks, 10 to 28 variable voice options, built in metronome, digital song recorder, touch sensitivity control, computer interface jacks plus, digital pianos never require tuning! These pianos are truly exciting and fun to play and learn on as most colleges, churches and schools will attest to!
